Four Corners Folk Festival – September 2 – 4
Looking for some of the best folk, acoustic, and bluegrass music in Colorado, along with camping, food, and family fun? Make your way to Pagosa to celebrate the 25th annual Four Corners Folk Festival this September!
Telluride Film Festival – September 2 – 5
Telluride Film Festival began in 1974 and has since grown into one of the largest, most celebrated film fests in the country. People come from all over for this four-day event featuring mostly new films. There are always famous celebrities and filmmakers in attendance, making this event all the more popular.
Keystone Oktoberfest – September 3
Since 2012, Keystone has hosted its annual Oktoberfest in River Run Village, a celebration of Colorado beer in Bavarian fashion. This year brings more specialty New Belgium-brewed Oktoberfest beers, so bring your drinking hat. Indulge in authentic German fare including plenty of delicious bratwursts and listen to traditional music by the Edelweiss Schuhplattlers
Labor Day Lift Off – September 3-5
A colorful event that will have you looking toward the sky, Colorado Spring’s Labor Day Lift Off is great for the entire family. Taking place over 3 days, guests can watch as approximately 65 hot air balloons float around the city. With live music, food vendors, and team skydiving demonstrations by the USAF, there will be plenty of activities to keep you entertained.
Denver Food + Wine Festival – September 6-10
After a two-year hiatus, the Denver Food + Wine Festival is back in the Mile High City! An extravagant culinary festival celebrating everything delicious to eat and drink, proceeds benefit the Colorado Restaurant Foundation, which supports Colorado’s hospitality community through training, education, and emergency grants.
Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival – September 9-11
Known locally as Scotfest, the Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival brings the best Celtic music, Irish and Highland dance, jousting, exhibition dogs, and regional flair to the “Celtic Capital of North America”, Estes Park. This three-day festival celebrates the exciting heritage of Scotland and Ireland, attracting a vibrant crowd to one of Colorado’s more unique festivals.
High Peaks Music Festival – September 10
The southern Colorado town hosts this exciting music festival for another wonderful summer Saturday. The 12th High Peaks Music Festival hosts a great group of acoustic bands on stage at a beautiful amphitheater.
Palmer Lake Wine Festival – September 10
Back for its 3rd year, the Palmer Lake Wine Festival is a great way to enjoy spending time outdoors while
sipping a glass of wine. Drawing 1,100 guests in 2021, this year’s event will feature 25 wineries pouring generous samples. With food and gift vendors on-site, this festival is a great way to step into the fall season.
Steamboat OktoberWest – September 10
This weekend-long celebration of beer, beef, and Steamboat takes place in mid-September in stunning Steamboat Springs, Colorado. With numerous brews to taste, delicious meats to sample, and awesome live music, this festival has everything you need to enjoy the last days of summer in the Rocky Mountains.
Breck Film Festival – September 15-18
Since 1981, the Breck Film Fest has brought this flagship event to the high-altitude town of Breckenridge. Ranked as a Top 20 Film Festival by USA Today, it features more than 100 films, premieres, forums, and parties.
Colorfest Balloon Rally – September 16-18
Every vernal equinox Pagosa Springs hosts a trifecta of festivals to cap off the summer season and welcome in fall. They’ll all be organized around the vivid Colorfest Balloon Rally, which returns for its 35th year.
Durango Autumn Arts Festival – September 17-18
The Durango Arts Center is excited to celebrate its 28th year of presenting fine art and fine craft by makers from around the country. This festival takes place amidst the fall colors on quaint Second Avenue in historic downtown Durango, Colorado.
Chile & Frijoles Festival – September 23-25
Pueblo’s 28th annual Chile & Frijoles Festival brings the heat the third weekend after Labor Day. The three-day extravaganza welcomes nearly 150,000 pepper people, who indulge in a variety of types, from mild to wild.
Steers and Beers, Whiskey, and Beer Festival –September 24
Established in 2016, the annual Steers and Beers Festival will be back for another year and they’re offering exclusive whiskies and beers from around the world. This annual event happening in the beautiful town of Colorado Springs is a must-visit for any beer and whisky aficionado.
Sundown Colorado – September 24
Hosted by Ignight Entertainment, Sundown Colorado is Denver’s first sober music festival that focuses on mindfulness, wellness, and connecting to each other through music. This “party positive” event boasts local artists and vendors, guided meditations at the healing tent, and EDM performances.
Pikes Peak Regional Air Show – September 24-25
A spectacular event that’s great for the entire family, the Pikes Peak Regional Air Show is for those who enjoy military planes. Featuring live demonstrations, WWII Flying Warbirds, and a kids’ zone, this two-day event is meant for true enthusiasts.
